How to revert the outlook mail
Reverting an Outlook email can be a bit tricky, but it's possible. Here are the steps to follow:
Method 1: Using the "Undo Send" feature
- Open Outlook and go to the "Sent Items" folder.
- Find the email you want to revert and right-click on it.
- Select "Undo Send" from the context menu.
- If the "Undo Send" feature is enabled, you'll see a confirmation dialog box. Click "Yes" to undo the send.
Method 2: Using the "Recall This Message" feature
- Open Outlook and go to the "Sent Items" folder.
- Find the email you want to revert and right-click on it.
- Select "Recall This Message" from the context menu.
- In the "Recall This Message" dialog box, select the option "Delete unread copies of this message" and click "OK".
Method 3: Using the "Move to Folder" feature
- Open Outlook and go to the "Sent Items" folder.
- Find the email you want to revert and drag it to the "Drafts" folder.
- Right-click on the email in the "Drafts" folder and select "Move to Folder" > "Sent Items".
- This will move the email back to the "Sent Items" folder, effectively reverting the send.
Method 4: Using the "Edit" feature
- Open Outlook and go to the "Sent Items" folder.
- Find the email you want to revert and right-click on it.
- Select "Edit" from the context menu.
- Make any necessary changes to the email and click "Send" again.
Important notes:
- The "Undo Send" feature only works if the email has not been read by the recipient.
- The "Recall This Message" feature only works if the email has not been read by the recipient and if the recipient's email client supports recall.
- The "Move to Folder" and "Edit" methods may not work if the email has already been read by the recipient or if the recipient's email client does not support recall.
I hope these methods help you revert an Outlook email!
