To save a draft email on an iPad, follow these steps:

1. Open the Mail app on your iPad.
2. Compose a new email by tapping the "Compose" button.
3. Write your email and add any attachments, recipients, and other details as needed.
4. Before sending the email, tap the "Cancel" button in the top-left corner of the screen.
5. A prompt will appear asking if you want to save the draft. Tap "Save Draft" to save the email as a draft.
6. The draft will be saved in your Drafts folder, which can be accessed by tapping the "Drafts" tab in the Mail app's sidebar.
