How to schedule mail in gmail app
Scheduling emails in the Gmail app is a convenient feature that allows you to send emails at a later time. Here's how to do it:
Method 1: Using the Gmail app on Android or iOS
- Open the Gmail app on your mobile device.
- Compose a new email by tapping the "+" icon.
- Write your email as usual.
- Tap the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap "Schedule send" from the dropdown menu.
- Choose the date and time you want the email to be sent from the calendar.
- Tap "Schedule" to confirm.
Method 2: Using the Gmail web interface
- Log in to your Gmail account on the web.
- Compose a new email by clicking the "Compose" button.
- Write your email as usual.
- Click the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the compose window.
- Click "Schedule send" from the dropdown menu.
- Choose the date and time you want the email to be sent from the calendar.
- Click "Schedule" to confirm.
Note: The "Schedule send" feature is only available for emails that are sent to recipients who are also using Gmail. If you're sending an email to a non-Gmail user, you won't be able to schedule the send time.
Tips:
- You can schedule emails up to 30 days in advance.
- If you schedule an email and then change your mind, you can cancel the send by going to the "Scheduled" tab in your Gmail settings.
- Scheduled emails will be sent in the recipient's local time zone, not your own.
I hope that helps!
