How to search mails in gmail through date

There are several ways to search for emails in Gmail by date:

Method 1: Using the "Search" bar

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the search bar at the top of the page.
  3. Type the following format: before:YYYY-MM-DD or after:YYYY-MM-DD or between:YYYY-MM-DD and YYYY-MM-DD
    • before searches for emails sent before the specified date.
    • after searches for emails sent after the specified date.
    • between searches for emails sent within the specified date range.
  4. Replace YYYY-MM-DD with the desired date in the format YYYY-MM-DD.

Method 2: Using the "Filter" feature

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon () and select "See all settings."
  3. Click on the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  4. Click on the "Create a new filter" button.
  5. In the "From" field, enter before:YYYY-MM-DD or after:YYYY-MM-DD or between:YYYY-MM-DD and YYYY-MM-DD (same format as above).
  6. Click on the "Create filter" button.
  7. In the "Apply the label" dropdown menu, select "Apply the label" and choose a label (e.g., "Old emails").

Method 3: Using the "Search" operator

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Use the search operator search followed by the date range you want to search for.
    • search before:YYYY-MM-DD searches for emails sent before the specified date.
    • search after:YYYY-MM-DD searches for emails sent after the specified date.
    • search between:YYYY-MM-DD and YYYY-MM-DD searches for emails sent within the specified date range.
