How to select mail on mac
On a Mac, you can select multiple emails in the Mail app using the following methods:
- Shift-click: Click on the first email you want to select, then hold down the Shift key and click on the last email you want to select. This will select all emails in between the two emails you clicked.
- Command-click: Click on each email you want to select individually, holding down the Command (⌘) key while clicking each one.
- Drag and drop: Click on the first email you want to select, then drag your mouse or trackpad to the last email you want to select. As you drag, a selection box will appear, and all emails within that box will be selected.
- Select all: Go to the "Edit" menu and select "Select All" (or use the keyboard shortcut ⌘ + A). This will select all emails in the current mailbox.
- Select none: Go to the "Edit" menu and select "Select None" (or use the keyboard shortcut ⌘ + Shift + A). This will deselect all selected emails.
Once you've selected one or more emails, you can perform actions on them, such as:
- Move them to a different mailbox or folder
- Delete them
- Mark them as read or unread
- Flag them for follow-up
- Forward or reply to them
You can also use the "Select" menu in the Mail app to select multiple emails at once. For example, you can select "Select All Unread" or "Select All Flagged" to quickly select multiple emails based on specific criteria.
