How to send a mail to group contact in gmail
To send an email to a group contact in Gmail, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Using the "To" field
- Open Gmail and compose a new email.
- In the "To" field, start typing the name of the group contact. As you type, Gmail will suggest matching contacts. Select the group contact from the dropdown list.
- If the group contact is not in the list, you can add them manually by typing their email address.
- Continue typing the email addresses of the other group contacts, separated by commas.
- Click the "Send" button to send the email to the group.
Method 2: Using the "Contacts" feature
- Open Gmail and click on the "Contacts" button in the top navigation bar.
- Find the group contact you want to email and click on the three vertical dots next to their name.
- Select "Create group email" from the dropdown menu.
- A new email composition window will open with the group contact's email address already filled in.
- Add any additional recipients, subject, and body text as needed.
- Click the "Send" button to send the email to the group.
Method 3: Using a group label
- Open Gmail and create a new email.
- In the "To" field, start typing the name of the group label. For example, if you have a label called "Team Leads", type "Team Leads".
- Gmail will suggest matching labels. Select the group label from the dropdown list.
- All contacts associated with that label will be added to the "To" field.
- Add any additional recipients, subject, and body text as needed.
- Click the "Send" button to send the email to the group.
Note: To create a group label, go to the Contacts page, click on the three vertical dots next to a contact's name, and select "Add to label". Then, create a new label and add the contact to it.
