How to send email to undisclosed recipients in mail
The classic "blind carbon copy" (BCC) question!
To send an email to undisclosed recipients in Gmail, Outlook, or other email clients, you can use the BCC field. Here's how:
Gmail:
- Compose a new email.
- In the "To" field, enter the email addresses of the recipients you want to include in the "To" field (if you want to send a copy to them).
- In the "Bcc" field, enter the email addresses of the recipients you want to keep anonymous. You can add multiple addresses separated by commas.
- Click the "Send" button.
Outlook:
- Compose a new email.
- In the "To" field, enter the email addresses of the recipients you want to include in the "To" field (if you want to send a copy to them).
- In the "Bcc" field, enter the email addresses of the recipients you want to keep anonymous. You can add multiple addresses separated by semicolons (;).
- Click the "Send" button.
Other email clients:
The process is similar in other email clients, such as Yahoo Mail, AOL Mail, or Mozilla Thunderbird. Look for the "Bcc" field in the compose window and enter the email addresses you want to keep anonymous.
Important notes:
- When you use the BCC field, the recipients' email addresses will not be visible to each other.
- Some email clients may not support BCC fields or may have limitations on the number of recipients you can add.
- Be cautious when using BCC, as it can be used to send spam or phishing emails. Only use it for legitimate purposes.
