How to set voice mail in skype
To set up voicemail in Skype, follow these steps:
For Skype Desktop App:
- Open Skype and sign in to your account.
- Click on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner of the window.
- Click on "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "Audio & Video" section.
- Click on "Voicemail" from the left-hand menu.
- Check the box next to "Enable voicemail" to turn it on.
- Choose a voicemail greeting from the dropdown menu or record a custom greeting by clicking on the "Record" button.
- Set the voicemail duration by adjusting the slider or entering a specific time in seconds.
- Click "Save" to save your changes.
For Skype Mobile App:
- Open Skype and sign in to your account.
- Tap on the three horizontal lines () in the top left corner of the screen.
- Tap on "Settings" from the menu.
- Scroll down to the "Audio & Video" section.
- Tap on "Voicemail" from the menu.
- Toggle the switch next to "Voicemail" to turn it on.
- Choose a voicemail greeting from the list or record a custom greeting by tapping on the "Record" button.
- Set the voicemail duration by adjusting the slider or entering a specific time in seconds.
- Tap "Save" to save your changes.
Note: Voicemail is only available for Skype-to-Skype calls. If you receive a call from a non-Skype user, you will not be able to leave a voicemail.
Additional Tips:
- You can also set up voicemail forwarding to send voicemails to your email or another phone number.
- You can customize your voicemail greeting to include your name, a message, or a custom recording.
- Voicemail is only available for Skype accounts that have a valid phone number associated with them.
