How to sign out apple mail
To sign out of Apple Mail on your Mac or iOS device, follow these steps:
On a Mac:
- Open Apple Mail.
- Click on "Mail" in the top menu bar.
- Select "Preferences" from the drop-down menu.
- Click on the "Accounts" tab.
- Select the account you want to sign out of from the list of accounts on the left.
- Click the "Edit" button next to the account.
- Uncheck the box next to "Use this account" at the top of the window.
- Click "OK" to save the changes.
On an iOS device:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
- Tap on the account you want to sign out of.
- Tap on "Delete Account" at the top of the screen.
- Tap "Delete" to confirm.
Note: If you're using two-factor authentication (2FA) with your Apple ID, you may need to enter your verification code or use your device's biometric authentication (e.g., Touch ID or Face ID) to sign out.
Additional tips:
- If you're signed in to multiple accounts in Apple Mail, you'll need to sign out of each account individually.
- If you're using iCloud Mail, signing out of Apple Mail will also sign you out of iCloud Mail.
- If you're using a third-party email service (e.g., Gmail, Outlook) with Apple Mail, signing out of Apple Mail will not affect your ability to access your email account through the third-party service.
