How to sign out from apple mail
To sign out of Apple Mail on your Mac or PC, follow these steps:
On a Mac:
- Open Apple Mail.
- Click on "Mail" in the top menu bar.
- Select "Preferences" from the drop-down menu.
- Click on the "Accounts" tab.
- Select the account you want to sign out of from the list of accounts on the left side of the window.
- Click the "Edit" button next to the account.
- Uncheck the box next to "Use this account" at the top of the window.
- Click "OK" to save the changes.
On a PC:
- Open Apple Mail.
- Click on "File" in the top menu bar.
- Select "Account Settings" from the drop-down menu.
- Click on the "Account" tab.
- Select the account you want to sign out of from the list of accounts on the left side of the window.
- Click the "Edit" button next to the account.
- Uncheck the box next to "Use this account" at the top of the window.
- Click "OK" to save the changes.
Alternatively, you can also sign out of Apple Mail by:
- Clicking on the "Sign Out" button at the bottom of the Apple Mail window.
- Using the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + S (on a Mac) or Ctrl + Shift + S (on a PC).
Note: Signing out of Apple Mail will log you out of your email account and close any open email sessions. If you want to keep your email account open but not signed in, you can choose to "Quit" Apple Mail instead of signing out.
