How to turn off apple mail app
To turn off the Apple Mail app on your Mac or iOS device, follow these steps:
On a Mac:
- Click on the Apple menu in the top left corner of the screen.
- Select "System Preferences" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" from the System Preferences window.
- Uncheck the box next to "Mail" to disable the Mail app.
Alternatively, you can also disable the Mail app by:
- Clicking on the Mail app icon in the Dock.
- Right-clicking (or control-clicking) on the Mail app icon.
- Selecting "Quit" from the context menu.
On an iOS device:
- Go to the "Settings" app on your iOS device.
- Scroll down and tap on "Mail".
- Toggle the switch next to "Mail" to the "Off" position.
Alternatively, you can also disable the Mail app by:
- Double-clicking the Home button (or swiping up from the bottom of the screen on iPhone X or later).
- Finding the Mail app icon in the list of open apps.
- Swiping up on the Mail app icon to close it.
Note that disabling the Mail app will not delete any of your email accounts or messages. You can always re-enable the app later by following the same steps.
