How to undo a mail in outlook
The frustration of accidentally sending an email in Outlook! Don't worry, I'm here to help you with that. Here are the steps to undo a sent email in Outlook:
Method 1: Using the "Undo Send" feature (Outlook 2013 and later)
- Go to the "Sent Items" folder in your Outlook inbox.
- Find the email you want to undo and right-click on it.
- Select "Undo Send" from the context menu.
- If the email has already been sent, you'll see a confirmation message. Click "Yes" to undo the send.
Method 2: Using the "Recall" feature (Outlook 2007 and earlier)
- Go to the "Sent Items" folder in your Outlook inbox.
- Find the email you want to recall and right-click on it.
- Select "Recall This Message" from the context menu.
- In the "Recall This Message" dialog box, select the option to "Delete unread copies of this message" and "Delete read copies of this message".
- Click "OK" to recall the email.
Method 3: Using the "Workaround" (Outlook 2010 and later)
- Go to the "Sent Items" folder in your Outlook inbox.
- Find the email you want to undo and right-click on it.
- Select "Move" from the context menu.
- Choose a folder other than "Sent Items" to move the email to (e.g., "Drafts" or "Deleted Items").
- Once you've moved the email, you can edit it and send it again with the changes you want.
Important notes:
- The "Undo Send" feature only works if the email has not been read by the recipient.
- The "Recall" feature only works if the email has not been read by the recipient and if the recipient's email client supports recall.
- If the email has already been read by the recipient, it's unlikely that you'll be able to undo the send.
I hope these methods help you undo a sent email in Outlook!
