To uninstall the Mail app on a MacBook Air, you can't completely remove it as it's a built-in app. However, you can disable it and remove its icon from the Dock and Launchpad. Here's how:

  1. Click the Apple menu and select "System Preferences."
  2. Click "Users & Groups."
  3. Select your user account from the list.
  4. Click the "Login Items" tab.
  5. Select the Mail app from the list and click the "-" button to remove it.

Method 2: Remove Mail app icon from Dock and Launchpad

  1. Click and hold on the Mail app icon in the Dock until it starts to jiggle.
  2. Click the "X" icon that appears in the top-left corner of the Mail app icon to remove it from the Dock.
  3. To remove the Mail app icon from Launchpad, click and hold on the icon until it starts to jiggle, then click the "X" icon that appears in the top-left corner to remove it.

Method 3: Remove Mail app from Spotlight search

  3. Click the "Mail" app icon that appears in the search results.
  4. Click the "X" icon that appears in the top-left corner of the Mail app icon to remove it from Spotlight search results.

Note that even if you disable or remove the Mail app icon, you can still access the Mail app by searching for it in Spotlight or using the "Other" folder in the Applications folder.

If you want to completely remove the Mail app, you can try using a third-party app uninstaller like CleanMyMac or AppCleaner. However, be cautious when using these tools, as they may also remove other system files and settings.
