How to unsend mail gmail
The eternal quest to undo a sent email!
In Gmail, you can unsend an email within a certain time frame, known as the "undo send" feature. Here's how to do it:
Enable the "Undo Send" feature:
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner.
- Select "See all settings."
- Scroll down to the "General" tab.
- Look for the "Undo Send" section.
- Click the toggle button to enable it.
- Choose the time frame for which you want to be able to unsend emails (5, 10, 15, or 30 seconds).
Unsend an email:
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Go to the "Sent" folder.
- Find the email you want to unsend.
- Click on the three vertical dots next to the email.
- Select "Undo" from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm that you want to unsend the email.
Note:
- The "Undo Send" feature only works for emails sent within the time frame you set (e.g., 5 seconds, 10 seconds, etc.).
- If you don't see the "Undo" option, it means the email has already been sent and can't be unsent.
- If you're using Gmail's mobile app, you can unsend an email by going to the "Sent" folder, finding the email, and tapping the three vertical dots next to it.
Remember, the "Undo Send" feature is a one-time option, so you can only unsend an email once. If you try to unsend an email again, you won't be able to.
