I want to open a new hotmail email account
Hotmail is no longer available as a standalone email service. In 2013, Microsoft rebranded Hotmail as Outlook.com, and all existing Hotmail accounts were automatically upgraded to Outlook.com accounts.
However, you can still create a new email account using the Outlook.com service. Here's how:
- Go to the Outlook.com website: www.outlook.com
- Click on the "Create account" button.
- Enter your name, email address, and password. You can choose any email address you like, but keep in mind that it must be unique and not already in use.
- Enter your birthday and gender.
- Enter your country or region and language.
- Click on the "Next" button.
- You'll be asked to verify your account by entering a verification code sent to your phone or by using the Microsoft Authenticator app.
- Once you've verified your account, you can start using your new Outlook.com email address.
Note that Outlook.com offers many features, including:
- A 5 GB storage limit for your email messages
- Integration with other Microsoft services, such as OneDrive and Office Online
- Support for multiple email accounts and calendars
- A mobile app for Android and iOS devices
- Advanced security features, such as two-factor authentication and encryption
