Icloud email server settings
Here are the iCloud email server settings:
Incoming Mail Server:
- Host Name: imap.mail.me.com
- Port: 993
- SSL/TLS: Enabled
- Authentication: Password
Outgoing Mail Server:
- Host Name: smtp.mail.me.com
- Port: 587
- SSL/TLS: Enabled
- Authentication: Password
IMAP Settings:
- IMAP Path Prefix: /inbox
SMTP Settings:
- SMTP Authentication: Password
- SMTP Authentication Method: PLAIN
Notes:
- Make sure to use your full iCloud email address as the username (e.g. [yourname]@icloud.com).
- If you're using a third-party email client, you may need to enable SSL/TLS encryption in the client's settings.
- If you're having trouble connecting to the iCloud email server, try restarting your device or checking your internet connection.
Here are some examples of how to set up your iCloud email account in popular email clients:
- Outlook:
- Go to File > Account Settings > New > Manual setup or additional server types.
- Select "Internet Email" and enter your iCloud email address and password.
- Set the incoming mail server to imap.mail.me.com and the outgoing mail server to smtp.mail.me.com.
- Thunderbird:
- Go to Tools > Account Settings > Outgoing Server (SMTP).
- Enter your iCloud email address and password.
- Set the outgoing mail server to smtp.mail.me.com and the port to 587.
- Set the incoming mail server to imap.mail.me.com and the port to 993.
- iPhone/iPad Mail App:
- Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account.
- Select "Other" and enter your iCloud email address and password.
- Set the incoming mail server to imap.mail.me.com and the outgoing mail server to smtp.mail.me.com.
