Iforgot.apple spam email

The infamous "iForgot" email scam!

If you received an email claiming to be from Apple and asking you to reset your password or verify your account information, be cautious! Here's what you should do:

  1. Don't click on any links or download any attachments: These emails are often phishing attempts designed to trick you into revealing your sensitive information, such as your Apple ID password, credit card numbers, or other personal data.
  2. Check the email address: Legitimate Apple emails usually come from an @apple.com or @icloud.com email address. If the email address looks suspicious or doesn't match Apple's official domain, it's likely a scam.
  3. Verify the message: Apple will never ask you to provide sensitive information via email. If you're unsure about the authenticity of the email, contact Apple Support directly to verify the message.
  4. Report the email: Forward the email to Apple's abuse department at [email protected] and report it to your email provider's abuse department.

Here's an example of what a phishing email might look like:

Subject: Your Apple ID has been compromised
