Importing Yahoo Mail into Gmail is a bit of a process, but it's doable. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you achieve this:
Method 1: Using IMAP
- Enable IMAP in Yahoo Mail:
- Log in to your Yahoo Mail account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the top right corner.
- Select "More settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on the "Accounts" tab.
- Scroll down to the "IMAP" section and toggle the switch to "On".
- Set up IMAP in Gmail:
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the top right corner.
- Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.
- Scroll down to the "IMAP Access" section.
- Enter your Yahoo Mail account's IMAP settings:
- Server: imap.yahoo.com
- Port: 993
- Username: your Yahoo Mail email address
- Password: your Yahoo Mail password
- Click "Add account" to save the settings.
- Configure your Yahoo Mail account in Gmail:
- Go back to the "Accounts and Import" tab in your Gmail settings.
- Click on "Add a POP3 mail account" or "Add a non-Gmail account".
- Enter your Yahoo Mail account's email address and password.
- Select "IMAP" as the account type.

Method 2: Using POP3
- Enable POP3 in Yahoo Mail:
- Log in to your Yahoo Mail account.

- Scroll down to the "POP" section and toggle the switch to "On".
- Set up POP3 in Gmail:

- Scroll down to the "POP Access" section.
- Enter your Yahoo Mail account's POP settings:
- Server: pop.yahoo.com
- Port: 995
- Username: your Yahoo Mail email address
- Password: your Yahoo Mail password
- Click "Add account" to save the settings.
- Configure your Yahoo Mail account in Gmail:
- Go back to the "Accounts and Import" tab in your Gmail settings.
- Click on "Add a POP3 mail account" or "Add a non-Gmail account".
- Enter your Yahoo Mail account's email address and password.
- Select "POP3" as the account type.

Important notes:
- When you set up IMAP or POP3 in Gmail, you'll need to enter your Yahoo Mail account's email address and password.
- You may need to allow less secure apps to access your Yahoo Mail account. To do this, go to your Yahoo Mail account settings, click on "Account info", and toggle the switch to "Allow apps that use less secure sign in".
- Keep in mind that importing emails from Yahoo Mail to Gmail may take some time, depending on the number of emails you have in your Yahoo Mail account.
