Incoming mail server outlook gmail

To set up Outlook to use Gmail's incoming mail server, you'll need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Enable IMAP in your Gmail account

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
  3. Go to the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.
  4. Select the "Enable IMAP" radio button.
  5. Click "Save Changes."

Step 2: Set up Outlook to use Gmail's incoming mail server

  1. Open Outlook and go to the "File" menu.

  3. Go to the "Outgoing Server" tab.
  4. Select the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" checkbox.
  5. Select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" (or enter your Gmail password again).

  7. Click "Next" and then "Finish" to complete the setup process.
