Internode mail settings outlook

To set up Internode email in Outlook, you'll need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Create a new profile in Outlook

  1. Open Outlook and go to File > Account Settings > Manage Profiles.
  2. Click "Show Profiles" and then click "Add".
  3. Enter a name for your new profile (e.g. "Internode Email") and click "OK".

Step 2: Add your Internode email account to Outlook

  1. Go back to the Account Settings window and click "New".
  2. Select "Manual setup or additional server types" and click "Next".
  3. Select "POP or IMAP" and click "Next".
  4. Enter the following settings:
    • Your Name: Your name as you want it to appear in emails
    • Email Address: Your Internode email address (e.g. [yourname]@internode.on.net)
    • Account Type: POP3
    • Incoming mail server: mail.internode.on.net
    • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.internode.on.net
    • User Name: Your Internode email address (e.g. [yourname]@internode.on.net)
    • Password: Your Internode email password
  5. Click "Next" and then "Finish".

Step 3: Configure your Internode email account in Outlook

  1. Go to the "Account Settings" window again and select your Internode email account.
  2. Click "Change" next to "More Settings".
  3. In the "Internet E-mail Settings" window, enter the following settings:
    • My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication: Checked
    • Use same settings as my incoming mail server: Checked
  4. Click "OK" to close the "Internet E-mail Settings" window.
  5. Click "Close" to close the "Account Settings" window.

Step 4: Test your Internode email account in Outlook

  1. Go to the Outlook inbox and check that your Internode email account is set up correctly.
  2. Send a test email to yourself to ensure that your account is working properly.
