Smart Mailboxes in iOS Mail!

Smart Mailboxes are a feature in the iOS Mail app that allows you to create custom folders that automatically organize your emails based on specific criteria. This can help you quickly find and manage your emails more efficiently. Here's how to set up and use Smart Mailboxes:

Creating a Smart Mailbox:

1. Open the Mail app on your iOS device.
2. Tap on the "Mailboxes" tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. Tap on the "Edit" button in the top-right corner.
4. Tap on the "New Smart Mailbox" button.
5. Choose a name for your Smart Mailbox.
6. Select the criteria for your Smart Mailbox:
   • From: Select a specific sender or senders.
   • To: Select a specific recipient or recipients.
   • Subject: Enter a specific subject or phrase.
   • Has Attachment: Check this box if you want to include emails with attachments.
   • Is Unread: Check this box if you want to include only unread emails.
   • Is Flagged: Check this box if you want to include only flagged emails.
   • Is Older Than: Select a specific date range.
   • Is Newer Than: Select a specific date range.
7. Tap "Save" to create your Smart Mailbox.

Using a Smart Mailbox:

1. Go back to the Mailboxes tab.
2. Tap on your newly created Smart Mailbox.
3. The Mail app will automatically fetch and display emails that match your specified criteria.
4. You can manage your Smart Mailbox emails just like any other folder:
   • Delete emails by swiping left.
   • Flag emails by tapping the flag icon.
   • Mark emails as read or unread by tapping the "Mark as Read" or "Mark as Unread" buttons.
   • Move emails to other folders by tapping and holding on an email, then dragging it to the desired folder.

Tips and Variations:

• You can create multiple Smart Mailboxes with different criteria to organize your emails in various ways.
• You can also use Smart Mailboxes to create a "Someday" folder for emails that don't require immediate action.
• To edit a Smart Mailbox, tap on the "Edit" button next to the Smart Mailbox name, then make your changes and tap "Save".
• To delete a Smart Mailbox, tap on the "Edit" button next to the Smart Mailbox name, then tap the "Delete" button.
