Ipad e mail
Here are some common email-related tasks you can do on an iPad:
Setting up email on your iPad
- Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
- Tap "Add Account" and select the type of email account you want to set up (e.g. iCloud, Gmail, Outlook, etc.).
- Enter your email address and password, and follow the prompts to complete the setup process.
Checking and reading email
- Open the Mail app on your iPad.
- Tap on the "Mailboxes" tab to switch between your different email accounts.
- Tap on an email to read it. You can swipe left or right to navigate between emails.
- Tap on the "Reply" or "Reply All" button to respond to an email.
- Tap on the "Forward" button to forward an email to someone else.
Composing and sending email
- Tap on the "Compose" button to start a new email.
- Enter the recipient's email address in the "To" field.
- Enter a subject for your email in the "Subject" field.
- Type your message in the main body of the email.
- Tap on the "Send" button to send your email.
Managing your email inbox
- Swipe left on an email to mark it as "Flagged" or "Mark as Read".
- Swipe right on an email to delete it.
- Tap on the "Edit" button to select multiple emails and perform actions on them (e.g. delete, mark as read, etc.).
- Tap on the "Search" button to search for specific emails in your inbox.
Additional email features
- You can use the "Undo Send" feature to retract an email you just sent (available on some email providers).
- You can use the "Snooze" feature to temporarily remove an email from your inbox and bring it back later (available on some email providers).
- You can use the "VIP" feature to mark important emails from specific senders as "VIP" and prioritize them in your inbox.
