Iphone doesn't ring goes to voicemail

Frustrating! There could be several reasons why your iPhone isn't ringing and instead goes straight to voicemail. Let's troubleshoot together to identify the issue:

  1. Do Not Disturb mode: Check if Do Not Disturb mode is enabled. Go to Settings > Do Not Disturb, and make sure it's turned off or set to allow calls from specific contacts or during specific times.
  2. Silent mode: Ensure that Silent mode is not enabled. You can check this by looking for the ring/silent switch on the top left side of your iPhone. If it's in the silent position, your iPhone won't ring.
  3. Volume: Check the volume level on your iPhone. Go to Settings > Sounds and Haptics, and make sure the Ringtone volume is not set to zero.
  4. Ringtone: Try changing the ringtone to a different one. Go to Settings > Sounds and Haptics > Ringtone, and select a different ringtone.
  5. Call settings: Check your call settings. Go to Settings > Phone > Calls, and make sure the "Send to Voicemail" option is not enabled.
  6. Carrier settings: Restart your iPhone and check if the issue persists. Sometimes, carrier settings can cause issues with call functionality.
  7. iPhone settings: Go to Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding, and make sure call forwarding is not enabled.
  8. SIM card: Try removing and reinserting your SIM card to ensure it's properly seated.
  9. iPhone software: Check for any software updates and install the latest version of iOS.
  10. Hardware issue: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there's a hardware problem with your iPhone's speaker or ringer. You may need to visit an Apple Store or authorized service provider for further assistance.

If you've tried all these steps and the issue persists, you may want to contact your carrier or Apple support for further assistance.
