The iPhone notification for mail!
When you receive an email on your iPhone, you'll typically see a notification in the following format:
Subject: [Email Subject] From: [Sender's Name] ([Sender's Email]) Time: [Time of Receipt]
The notification will usually appear in the following locations:
- Notification Center: Swipe down from the top of the screen to access the Notification Center, where you'll see a list of recent notifications, including your email notifications.
- Lock Screen: If your iPhone is locked, you'll see a notification on the lock screen with the subject, sender, and time of receipt.
- Notification Shade: If you're using an iPhone with iOS 14 or later, you'll see a notification shade at the top of the screen with the subject, sender, and time of receipt.
Tapping on the notification will take you directly to the Mail app, where you can view the email and respond to it if needed.
You can customize your email notifications on your iPhone by going to:
Settings > Notifications > Mail
From here, you can adjust the notification settings for your email account, including:
- Notification Style: Choose from various notification styles, such as banners, alerts, or none.
- Sounds: Select a sound to play when you receive an email notification.
- Badge App Icon: Choose whether to display a badge on the Mail app icon to indicate the number of unread emails.
- Show in Notification Center: Decide whether to show email notifications in the Notification Center.
