Jpay email

JPay is a popular platform used by correctional facilities to provide email services to inmates. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to send an email to an inmate using JPay:

Sending an Email:

  1. Create a JPay account: Go to the JPay website (www.jpay.com) and click on "Create an Account." Fill out the registration form with your name, email address, and password.
  2. Find the inmate: Search for the inmate you want to send an email to using their name, ID number, or facility name. Make sure you have the correct information to avoid any issues.
  3. Compose the email: Write your email in the compose window, keeping in mind the character limit (typically 13,000 characters). You can also attach files, such as photos or documents, up to 20MB in size.
  4. Select the recipient: Choose the inmate you want to send the email to from the list of available recipients.
  5. Set the email type: Choose the type of email you want to send: "Standard" (sent immediately) or "Priority" (sent with a higher priority, but may take longer to deliver).
  6. Review and send: Review your email for errors and send it to the inmate.

Receiving an Email:

  1. Inmate's JPay account: The inmate will receive your email in their JPay account, where they can read and respond to it.
  2. Printed copy: The facility may also print out the email and deliver it to the inmate.
