Juno
Juno was founded in 1996 and was one of the first ISPs to offer free or low-cost internet access to consumers. Juno's business model was based on advertising and sponsored content. The company grew rapidly and became one of the largest ISPs in the United States.
Netscape
Netscape was a web browser developed by Netscape Communications Corporation, which was founded in 1994. Netscape was one of the first commercial web browsers and was known for its speed, security, and innovative features. Netscape was also the first browser to include JavaScript, a scripting language that allowed for dynamic web pages.
Juno and Netscape
In the late 1990s, Juno and Netscape formed a partnership to offer Juno customers a free Netscape browser with their internet service. This partnership allowed Juno customers to access the internet using Netscape, which was a popular and widely-used browser at the time.
Juno's Email Service
Juno also offered a free email service to its customers, which was powered by Microsoft's Hotmail technology. Juno's email service allowed users to access their email accounts from anywhere, using a web-based interface.
The Decline of Juno and Netscape
