Junk mail outlook 2020 settings
To set up junk mail filters in Outlook 2020, follow these steps:
Method 1: Using the Junk Email Filter
- Open Outlook 2020 and go to the "Home" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "Junk" button in the "Move" group.
- Select "Junk Email Options" from the dropdown menu.
- In the "Junk Email Options" window, you can adjust the following settings:
- "Safe Senders" list: Add the email addresses or domains of people you trust to this list to prevent them from being marked as junk.
- "Blocked Senders" list: Add the email addresses or domains of spammers to this list to prevent them from sending you emails.
- "Quarantined Senders" list: Add the email addresses or domains of senders who have been marked as junk to this list to prevent them from sending you emails.
- "Trust level" slider: Adjust the slider to set the level of trust for incoming emails.
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
Method 2: Using the Junk Email Filter with a Custom Rule
- Open Outlook 2020 and go to the "Home" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "Rules" button in the "Move" group.
- Select "Manage Rules & Alerts" from the dropdown menu.
- In the "Rules and Alerts" window, click on "New Rule" and select "Start from a blank rule".
- Choose "Move messages from someone to the specified folder" and click "Next".
- Enter the email address or domain of the sender you want to block, and select "Block" as the action.
- Click "Next" and then "Finish" to save the rule.
Additional Tips
- You can also use the "Junk Email Reporting" feature to report junk emails to Microsoft. To do this, open the junk email, right-click on it, and select "Junk Email Reporting".
