Lds missionary email change

The joys of keeping up with technology!

As of 2020, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) has made some changes to the way missionaries communicate with their families and friends back home. Here's what you need to know:

New Email System:

The LDS Church has introduced a new email system for missionaries, which replaces the previous "My Mission" email system. The new system is designed to be more secure, efficient, and user-friendly.

Key Changes:

  1. New Email Address: Missionaries will have a new email address in the format of [missionary's name]@myldsmail.net. This email address will be used for all official communication with family and friends.
  2. Single Inbox: Missionaries will have a single inbox for all emails, eliminating the need to check multiple email accounts.
  3. Improved Security: The new system includes enhanced security features to protect missionaries' personal information and prevent spam.
  4. Simplified Communication: The new system allows for easier communication between missionaries and their families, with features like group emails and the ability to send photos and videos.
  5. No More "My Mission" Website: The "My Mission" website is no longer available, and all information previously accessible through that site is now available through the new email system.

How to Access the New Email System:

To access the new email system, you'll need to:

  1. Go to the LDS Church's website (www.churchofjesuschrist.org).
  2. Click on the "Missionary" tab at the top of the page.
  3. Select "Email" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Enter your missionary's name and email address (in the format [missionary's name]@myldsmail.net).
  5. Follow the prompts to set up your account and start communicating with your missionary.
