To set up Leiden University's UMail service to use Gmail's SMTP server, you'll need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Enable IMAP and SMTP in your Gmail account

  3. Go to the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.
  4. Enable IMAP and SMTP.

Step 2: Configure your UMail account to use Gmail's SMTP server
