Live mail outlook setting
Here are the steps to set up Live Mail with Outlook:
Step 1: Create a new Outlook profile
- Open Outlook and go to File > Add Account.
- Click on "Manual setup or additional server types" and then click "Next".
- Select "Internet Email" and click "Next".
- Enter your name and email address, and then click "Next".
- Select "POP3" or "IMAP" as your account type, depending on your preference.
- Enter the following settings:
- Server: outlook.office365.com (for Office 365 accounts) or outlook.com (for Live Mail accounts)
- Port: 993 (for SSL) or 587 (for TLS)
- Username: your Live Mail email address
- Password: your Live Mail password
- Click "Next" and then "Finish" to complete the setup.
Step 2: Configure your Live Mail account
- Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
- Select your Live Mail account and click "Change".
- Enter the following settings:
- Server: outlook.office365.com (for Office 365 accounts) or outlook.com (for Live Mail accounts)
- Port: 993 (for SSL) or 587 (for TLS)
- Username: your Live Mail email address
- Password: your Live Mail password
- Click "OK" to save the changes.
Step 3: Set up your Live Mail account to sync with Outlook
- Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
- Select your Live Mail account and click "Properties".
- Click on the "Advanced" tab.
- Under "Delivery", select "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)".
- Under "Outgoing server", select "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)".
- Click "OK" to save the changes.
