To search for emails in Lotus Notes, you can use the "Search" function within the Notes client. Here's a step-by-step guide:

  1. Open Lotus Notes and navigate to the "Mail" view.
  2. Click on the "Search" button in the toolbar or press Ctrl + F.
  3. In the "Search" dialog box, enter your search criteria in the "Search for" field. You can search for emails by:
    • Keyword: Enter a word or phrase to search for in the email subject, body, or attachments.
    • From: Enter the name or email address of the sender.
    • To: Enter the name or email address of the recipient.
    • Date: Enter a specific date range to search for emails within that period.
  4. Use the "AND", "OR", and "NOT" operators to refine your search. For example:
    • "keyword" AND "from:john" will search for emails with the keyword and sent by John.
    • "keyword" OR "keyword2" will search for emails containing either keyword or keyword2.
    • "keyword" NOT "keyword2" will search for emails containing keyword but not keyword2.
  5. Click the "Search" button to execute the search.
  6. The search results will be displayed in a new window. You can sort the results by clicking on the column headers.
  7. To view the details of an email, double-click on the email in the search results.
