To import emails from an old account to Mac Mail, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Importing from another email account

  1. Open Mac Mail on your Mac.
  2. Click on "Mail" in the top menu bar and select "Preferences".
  3. Click on the "Accounts" tab.
  4. Click on the "+" button at the bottom left corner of the window to add a new account.
  5. Select the type of account you want to import from (e.g., IMAP, POP, Exchange).
  6. Enter the account settings for the old account, including the username, password, and server settings.
  7. Click "Continue" and then "Create" to add the account.
  8. Once the account is added, you can drag and drop emails from the old account into the new account's inbox.

Method 2: Importing from an MBOX file

  1. Open Mac Mail on your Mac.
  2. Click on "File" in the top menu bar and select "Import Mailboxes".
  3. Select "MBOX" as the file type and navigate to the location of the MBOX file you want to import.
  4. Select the MBOX file and click "Import".
  5. The emails will be imported into a new mailbox in Mac Mail.

Method 3: Importing from an EML file

  1. Open Mac Mail on your Mac.
  2. Click on "File" in the top menu bar and select "Import Mailboxes".
  3. Select "EML" as the file type and navigate to the location of the EML file you want to import.
  4. Select the EML file and click "Import".
  5. The emails will be imported into a new mailbox in Mac Mail.
