Mac mail show attachments as icons

A convenient feature!

To show attachments as icons in macOS Mail, follow these steps:

  1. Open Mail on your Mac.
  2. Click on "Mail" in the top menu bar and select "Preferences" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Comma).
  3. In the Preferences window, click on the "General" tab.
  4. Under "Attachments", select the option "Show attachments as icons" from the dropdown menu.

Alternatively, you can also enable this feature by selecting the "View" menu in Mail, then clicking on "Show Attachments as Icons".

Once you've enabled this feature, attachments in your emails will be displayed as icons instead of text. This can make it easier to quickly identify and manage your attachments.

Note that this feature is only available in macOS Mail version 12.0 or later. If you're using an earlier version, you may need to update your Mail app to access this feature.
