The eternal struggle of sending large files!
There are several ways to send big files, and I'll outline some popular options for you:
- Cloud Storage Services:
- Google Drive: Upload your file to Google Drive and share the link with the recipient.
- Dropbox: Upload your file to Dropbox and share the link or send a download link.
- Microsoft OneDrive: Upload your file to OneDrive and share the link.
- pCloud: Upload your file to pCloud and share the link.
- File Transfer Services:
- WeTransfer: Upload your file and send a link to the recipient.
- File.io: Upload your file and send a link to the recipient.
- SendSpace: Upload your file and send a link to the recipient.
- Email Services with Large File Attachments:
- Gmail: You can send files up to 25 MB in size.
- Outlook: You can send files up to 10 MB in size.
- Yahoo Mail: You can send files up to 25 MB in size.
- FTP (File Transfer Protocol):
- If you have an FTP server or access to one, you can upload your file and share the FTP details with the recipient.
- Split Large Files:
- If your file is too large to send as a single file, you can split it into smaller parts using tools like 7-Zip or WinZip.
- Then, send each part separately using one of the methods above.
Before sending a large file, make sure to:
- Compress the file to reduce its size (if possible).
- Check the recipient's email provider or file transfer service to ensure they can receive large files.
- Verify the file transfer service or cloud storage provider's terms of service to ensure they allow large file transfers.
Remember to always be cautious when sending large files, as they may contain sensitive information.
