Mail folders in windows 8.1
In Windows 8.1, you can create and manage mail folders in the Mail app to organize your emails. Here's how:
Creating a new folder:
- Open the Mail app.
- Click on the "Folders" button in the bottom left corner of the screen.
- Click on "New Folder" from the dropdown menu.
- Enter a name for your new folder and click "OK".
Moving emails to a folder:
- Open the Mail app.
- Select the email you want to move to a folder.
- Right-click on the email and select "Move to" from the context menu.
- Select the folder you want to move the email to from the dropdown menu.
Renaming a folder:
- Open the Mail app.
- Click on the "Folders" button in the bottom left corner of the screen.
- Right-click on the folder you want to rename.
- Select "Rename" from the context menu.
- Enter a new name for the folder and click "OK".
Deleting a folder:
- Open the Mail app.
- Click on the "Folders" button in the bottom left corner of the screen.
- Right-click on the folder you want to delete.
- Select "Delete" from the context menu.
- Confirm that you want to delete the folder.
Tips:
- You can also create subfolders within other folders to further organize your emails.
- You can drag and drop emails into folders to move them.
- You can also use the "Quick Steps" feature in the Mail app to quickly move emails to a folder and apply other actions, such as deleting or marking as read.
