Mail goggles gmail

A blast from the past!

Mail Goggles is a feature that was introduced in Gmail Labs in 2009. It was designed to help users avoid sending embarrassing or regrettable emails, especially after a few drinks.

Here's how it worked: when you tried to send an email between 10 PM and 4 AM, Mail Goggles would ask you to solve a simple math problem to prove that you're not drunk or tired. If you couldn't solve the problem correctly, the email wouldn't be sent.

The idea behind Mail Goggles was to give users a chance to reconsider their emails before sending them, and to prevent those late-night, regrettable emails that often come with a hangover.

Although Mail Goggles was a fun and innovative feature, it was eventually discontinued by Google in 2012. However, the concept of Mail Goggles has lived on in the form of other email management tools and features that aim to help users avoid sending regrettable emails.
