Mail settings outlook

Here are the common mail settings for Outlook:

Incoming Mail Server (IMAP/POP3)

• Port: 993 (IMAP) or 995 (POP3)
• Encryption: SSL/TLS
• Username: Your full email address (e.g., [yourname]@outlook.com)
• Password: Your email account password

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)

• Server Name: smtp.office365.com (for Office 365 accounts) or smtp.gmail.com (for Gmail accounts)
• Port: 587 (TLS) or 25 (unencrypted)
• Encryption: TLS
• Username: Your full email address (e.g., [yourname]@outlook.com)
• Password: Your email account password

Additional Settings

• Leave a copy of messages on the server: This setting allows you to keep a copy of your emails on the server, so you can access them from multiple devices.
• Remove messages from the server after downloading: This setting removes emails from the server after you download them to your device.
• Check for new messages every: This setting determines how often Outlook checks for new emails.

IMAP Settings

• IMAP Path Prefix: Leave this blank
• Use the same settings as my incoming mail server: Check this box to use the same settings for IMAP as you do for POP3

POP3 Settings

• POP3 Path Prefix: Leave this blank
• Use the same settings as my incoming mail server: Check this box to use the same settings for POP3 as you do for IMAP

Authentication
