Media mail rules

- Business reply mail
- Metered mail
- Postage due mail
Weight and Size Limits:
- Maximum weight: 70 pounds
- Maximum length: 108 inches
- Maximum girth: 130 inches
Packaging Requirements:
- Items must be packaged in a sturdy box or envelope that can withstand normal handling and transportation.
- Items must be wrapped in paper or bubble wrap to prevent damage.
- Items must be securely closed and sealed.
Labeling Requirements:
- Media Mail items must be labeled as "Media Mail" and have the correct postage affixed.
- The label must be affixed to the top right corner of the package.
Postage Rates:
- Media Mail rates vary depending on the weight and size of the package.
- You can use the USPS online postage calculator or consult the USPS website for the most up-to-date rates.
Delivery Time:
- Media Mail is typically delivered within 2-8 business days, depending on the distance and route.
Tracking and Insurance:
- Media Mail is not trackable or insurable.
- If your package is lost or damaged, you may need to file a claim with the USPS.
Restrictions:
- Media Mail is not available for international shipping.
- Media Mail is not available for shipping to PO boxes or APO/FPO addresses.
- Media Mail is not available for shipping to Alaska and Hawaii.
