Microsoft mail sign up
To sign up for a Microsoft Mail account, follow these steps:
Option 1: Sign up for Outlook.com
- Go to outlook.com in a web browser.
- Click on "Create account" in the top right corner.
- Enter your first and last name, and choose a username (this will be your email address).
- Enter a password and confirm it.
- Enter your birthday and gender.
- Enter your country or region and language.
- Click "Next" and then "Create account".
Option 2: Sign up for Microsoft 365
- Go to office.com in a web browser.
- Click on "Sign up" in the top right corner.
- Enter your first and last name, and choose a username (this will be your email address).
- Enter a password and confirm it.
- Enter your birthday and gender.
- Enter your country or region and language.
- Choose a subscription plan (e.g. Personal, Family, or Business).
- Click "Next" and then "Create account".
What you need to know:
- Your Microsoft Mail account will be an Outlook.com account, which is a free email service provided by Microsoft.
- You can use your Microsoft Mail account to access Outlook.com, as well as other Microsoft services like OneDrive, Office Online, and Skype.
- If you sign up for Microsoft 365, you'll get access to additional features like Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), 1TB of storage on OneDrive, and more.
- You can always upgrade or downgrade your subscription plan later if needed.
Tips:
- Make sure to choose a strong and unique password for your account.
- Consider enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) to add an extra layer of security to your account.
- You can use your Microsoft Mail account to sign in to other Microsoft services, such as Xbox, Windows, and more.
