Msn/hotmail messenger 2017

A blast from the past!

MSN Messenger, also known as Hotmail Messenger, was a popular instant messaging service that was launched in 1999 and was widely used until around 2013. Although it's no longer actively supported, I can still provide some information about the service in 2017.

In 2017, Microsoft had already discontinued the classic MSN Messenger service and replaced it with Skype, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2011. Skype offered many of the same features as MSN Messenger, including text, voice, and video chat, as well as file sharing and screen sharing.

Here are some key features of MSN Messenger 2012 in 2017:

It's worth noting that MSN Messenger 2012 was not compatible with newer operating systems, such as Windows 10, and was only compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.

In 2017, Microsoft continued to promote Skype as its primary instant messaging service, and encouraged users to switch to Skype for a more modern and feature-rich experience.
