Msn email settings outlook express

A blast from the past! Here are the email settings for MSN (Hotmail) in Outlook Express:

Incoming Mail Server:

• Server name: pop3.live.com
• Port: 110
• Username: Your full MSN email address (e.g., [email protected])
• Password: Your MSN email password

Outgoing Mail Server:

• Server name: smtp.live.com
• Port: 587 (or 25 if your ISP allows it)
• Username: Your full MSN email address (e.g., [email protected])
• Password: Your MSN email password

Additional Settings:

• Use the following authentication settings:
  • Authentication: NTLM
  • Use a secure connection (SSL): Yes
• Set the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" option to Yes

To set up your MSN email account in Outlook Express:

1. Open Outlook Express and go to Tools > Accounts.
2. Click Add and select Mail.
3. Enter your name and email address, and click Next.
4. Select POP3 as the account type and enter the incoming mail server settings above.
5. Select SMTP as the outgoing mail server type and enter the outgoing mail server settings above.
6. Click Next and then Finish to complete the setup process.

Note: If you're using a newer version of Outlook Express, you may need to use the imap.live.com server instead of pop3.live.com. Additionally, you may need to enable SSL/TLS encryption for the outgoing mail server.
