Msn hotmail france
A blast from the past!
MSN Hotmail was a popular free web-based email service that was launched in 1996 by Hotmail, a company founded by Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith. In 1997, Microsoft acquired Hotmail for $400 million and rebranded it as MSN Hotmail.
In France, MSN Hotmail was a popular email service, especially among individuals and small businesses. The service offered a range of features, including:
- Free email accounts with a @hotmail.fr address
- Web-based email access
- POP3 and IMAP support for accessing email from other email clients
- Storage space for emails and attachments
- Spam and virus protection
- Integration with other MSN services, such as MSN Messenger and MSN Spaces
However, in 2013, Microsoft announced that it would be retiring the Hotmail brand and replacing it with Outlook.com, a new email service that would offer a more modern and feature-rich experience. The transition was completed in 2013, and Hotmail.fr addresses were automatically redirected to Outlook.com.
Today, Outlook.com is still a popular email service in France, offering a range of features, including:
- Free email accounts with a @outlook.fr address
- Web-based email access
- POP3 and IMAP support for accessing email from other email clients
- Storage space for emails and attachments
- Spam and virus protection
- Integration with other Microsoft services, such as Office Online and OneDrive
If you have a Hotmail.fr address, you can still access your email account using the Outlook.com interface. Simply go to outlook.com and sign in with your Hotmail.fr credentials.
