Msn hotmail set up outlook express

A blast from the past!

To set up Hotmail (now known as Outlook.com) in Outlook Express, follow these steps:

Step 1: Launch Outlook Express

Open Outlook Express on your computer. If you don't have it installed, you can download it from the Microsoft website.

Step 2: Create a new account

In Outlook Express, go to Tools > Accounts. Click on Add and then select Mail.

Step 3: Enter your Hotmail account information

In the Internet Mail Account window, enter the following information:

• Your Name: Your name as you want it to appear in emails.
• Email Address: Your Hotmail email address (e.g., [yourname]@hotmail.com).
• Account Type: Select POP3.
• Incoming Mail Server: Enter pop3.live.com.
• Outgoing Mail Server: Enter smtp.live.com.
• User Name: Enter your Hotmail email address (e.g., [yourname]@hotmail.com).
• Password: Enter your Hotmail password.

Step 4: Set up the account

Click Next and then Finish to set up the account.

Step 5: Configure the account settings

In the Internet Mail Account window, click on the Properties button.

In the Properties window, select the Servers tab. Make sure the following settings are enabled:

• My server requires authentication: Check this box.
• Use same settings as my incoming mail server: Check this box.

Click OK to close the Properties window.

Step 6: Test the account

Go back to the Accounts window and select your Hotmail account. Click on Test Account Settings to test the connection.

If everything is set up correctly, you should be able to send and receive emails using Outlook Express.
