Msn mail hotmail account

A blast from the past!

MSN Mail and Hotmail are both email services that were popular in the early days of the internet. Here's a brief overview:

MSN Mail: MSN Mail was a free web-based email service provided by Microsoft, launched in 1996. It was one of the first widely used email services on the internet. MSN Mail allowed users to send and receive emails, as well as access other online services like chat rooms and online storage.

Hotmail: Hotmail was another free web-based email service, launched in 1996 by Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith. It was acquired by Microsoft in 1997 and became a subsidiary of the company. Hotmail was known for its simplicity and ease of use, and it quickly gained popularity as a free email service.

Merger and Rebranding: In 2012, Microsoft announced that it would be retiring the Hotmail brand and replacing it with Outlook.com, a new email service that combined the features of Hotmail, Windows Live Hotmail, and other Microsoft email services. The Hotmail domain was redirected to Outlook.com, and users were migrated to the new service.

Current Status: Today, Outlook.com is the successor to Hotmail and MSN Mail. It offers a range of features, including email, calendar, contacts, and storage. While Hotmail is no longer a separate service, users who had Hotmail accounts can still access their emails through Outlook.com.

If you have a Hotmail account, you can still use it to access your emails through Outlook.com. Simply go to outlook.com and sign in with your Hotmail email address and password. You can also upgrade to a Microsoft account, which offers additional features and benefits.
