To set up your NetZero email account in Outlook, follow these steps:

Step 1: Create an App Password

  1. Log in to your NetZero account at www.netzero.com.
  2. Click on the "Settings" icon (looks like a gear) in the top right corner.
  3. Click on "Account" and then "Security".
  4. Scroll down to the "App Passwords" section.
  5. Click on "Generate App Password".
  6. Enter a name for the app password (e.g., "Outlook").
  7. Click "Generate".
  8. Note down the app password.

Step 2: Set up Outlook

  1. Open Outlook and click on "File" > "Add Account".
  2. Select "Manual setup or additional server types" and click "Next".
  3. Select "POP or IMAP" and click "Next".
  4. Enter the following settings:
    • Your Name: Your name as you want it to appear in Outlook.
    • Email Address: Your NetZero email address (e.g., [email protected]).
    • Account Type: POP3.
    • Incoming mail server: pop.netzero.com.
    • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.netzero.com.
    • Port: 110 (Incoming) and 587 (Outgoing).
  5. Enter the app password you created in Step 1.
  6. Click "Next" and then "Finish".

Step 3: Configure IMAP (optional)

If you want to use IMAP instead of POP3, follow these additional steps:

  1. In the "Add Account" window, select "IMAP" instead of "POP3".
  2. Enter the following settings:
    • Incoming mail server: imap.netzero.com.
    • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.netzero.com.
    • Port: 143 (Incoming) and 587 (Outgoing).
  3. Enter the app password you created in Step 1.
  4. Click "Next" and then "Finish".

That's it! Your NetZero email account should now be set up in Outlook.
