New 2023 usps certified mail rates

As of January 22, 2023, the United States Postal Service (USPS) has implemented new rates for Certified Mail services. Here are the updated rates for 2023:

Certified Mail Rates (effective January 22, 2023)

• Certified Mail (1 oz):
  • Domestic: $4.35
  • International: $14.95
• Certified Mail with Return Receipt (1 oz):
  • Domestic: $5.35
  • International: $16.95
• Certified Mail with Restricted Delivery (1 oz):
  • Domestic: $5.35
  • International: $16.95
• Certified Mail with Signature Confirmation (1 oz):
  • Domestic: $6.35
  • International: $18.95

Additional Fees

• Certified Mail with Insurance (1 oz):
  • Domestic: $4.35 (Certified Mail rate) + $0.05 (insurance fee) = $4.40
  • International: $14.95 (Certified Mail rate) + $0.05 (insurance fee) = $15.00
• Certified Mail with Return Receipt and Insurance (1 oz):
  • Domestic: $5.35 (Certified Mail with Return Receipt rate) + $0.05 (insurance fee) = $5.40
  • International: $16.95 (Certified Mail with Return Receipt rate) + $0.05 (insurance fee) = $17.00

Note: These rates apply to mailpieces weighing 1 ounce or less. Additional fees may apply for heavier mailpieces.
