Not seeing gmail docs etc on new tab chrome

It's possible that the Google apps you're used to seeing in a new tab in Chrome, such as Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Docs, are not displaying because of a few reasons. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the issue:

  1. Check your Chrome settings: Ensure that the Google apps are enabled in your Chrome settings. To do this:
    • Click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the Chrome browser.
    • Click on "Settings" from the drop-down menu.
    • Scroll down to the "Advanced" section.
    • Look for the "Google" section and ensure that the toggle switch next to "Google services" is turned on.
  2. Check your Google account settings: Make sure that your Google account is properly linked to your Chrome browser. To do this:
    • Sign in to your Google account on the Google account sign-in page.
    • Click on the "Security" tab.
    • Scroll down to the "Signing in to other sites" section.
    • Ensure that the "Allow less secure apps" option is turned on.
  3. Clear browser cache and cookies: Clearing the browser cache and cookies can sometimes resolve issues with Google apps not displaying. To do this:
    • Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows/Linux) or Command + Shift + Delete (Mac) to open the Chrome browser's settings.
    • Click on "Clear browsing data" and select the "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files" options.
    • Click "Clear data" to confirm.
  4. Check for Chrome updates: Ensure that your Chrome browser is up to date. To do this:
    • Click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the Chrome browser.
    • Click on "Help" from the drop-down menu.
    • Click on "About Google Chrome".
    • If an update is available, click "Update" to install it.
  5. Try a different browser: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, try using a different browser, such as Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge, to see if the Google apps display correctly.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you can try contacting Google support for further assistance.
