- Provide your current and new addresses, as well as the dates you want the redirection to start and end.
- Pay the applicable fee (see below).
Fees:
- Standard Mail Redirection (up to 12 months): NZD $55.00
- Extended Mail Redirection (up to 24 months): NZD $110.00
What's included:
- Redirection of mail, including letters, parcels, and packages
- Notification of any undeliverable mail to your new address
- Option to redirect mail to a PostShop or a mailbox at a PostShop
Important notes:
- Mail Redirection is only available for individuals, not businesses.
- You must provide a valid reason for the redirection, such as moving to a new address or traveling abroad.
- The service is not available for PO boxes or rural delivery addresses.
- You can cancel or change your Mail Redirection at any time, but you'll need to provide written notice to New Zealand Post.
Tips:
- Apply for Mail Redirection well in advance of your move or travel dates to ensure a smooth transition.
- Keep your new address up to date with your bank, credit card company, and other relevant organizations to avoid any issues with bill payments or other important mail.
- Consider setting up a mailbox at a PostShop if you're away from your new address for an extended period.
By using the Mail Redirection service, you can ensure that your mail follows you to your new address in New Zealand, making it easier to stay connected and manage your affairs while on the move.
