Onenote email page options
When you attach a OneNote page to an email, you have several options to control how the page is displayed and shared. Here are some of the options:
- View only: This option allows the recipient to view the OneNote page, but they cannot edit it.
- Edit: This option allows the recipient to edit the OneNote page, but they will need to have a OneNote account and be signed in to edit the page.
- Comment: This option allows the recipient to add comments to the OneNote page, but they cannot edit the page itself.
- Print: This option allows the recipient to print the OneNote page.
- Save to OneDrive: This option allows the recipient to save the OneNote page to their own OneDrive account.
- Share: This option allows the recipient to share the OneNote page with others, either by sending them a link or by adding them to the page's permissions.
- Link only: This option sends a link to the OneNote page, rather than attaching the page itself. This can be useful if you want to share the page without sending a large attachment.
- PDF: This option converts the OneNote page to a PDF file, which can be attached to the email or shared separately.
- Image: This option converts the OneNote page to an image file (such as a PNG or JPEG), which can be attached to the email or shared separately.
To access these options, follow these steps:
- Open OneNote and select the page you want to attach to an email.
- Click on the "Share" button in the top right corner of the page.
- Select "Email" from the dropdown menu.
- In the "Email" window, select the email account you want to use to send the email.
- Enter the recipient's email address and any other desired email settings.
- In the "Attach" section, select the option you want to use to attach the OneNote page (e.g. "View only", "Edit", etc.).
- Click "Send" to send the email.
Note that some of these options may not be available depending on your organization's security policies or the version of OneNote you are using.
