Opencart mail settings
In OpenCart, you can configure the mail settings in the following ways:
1. Store Settings
- Go to System > Settings > Store
- Click on the Edit button next to your store name
- Scroll down to the Mail Settings section
- Fill in the required fields:
- Mail (SMTP) Server: Enter your SMTP server address
- Mail (SMTP) Port: Enter the SMTP port number (usually 25, 587, or 465)
- Mail (SMTP) Username: Enter your SMTP username
- Mail (SMTP) Password: Enter your SMTP password
- Mail (SMTP) Encryption: Choose the encryption type (None, SSL, or TLS)
- From Email: Enter the email address that will be used as the sender
- From Name: Enter the name that will be displayed as the sender
2. Mail Account Settings
- Go to System > Settings > Mail Accounts
- Click on the Add New Mail Account button
- Fill in the required fields:
- Mail Account Name: Enter a name for your mail account
- Mail Server: Enter your mail server address
- Mail Port: Enter the mail port number (usually 25, 587, or 465)
- Mail Username: Enter your mail username
- Mail Password: Enter your mail password
- Mail Encryption: Choose the encryption type (None, SSL, or TLS)
- From Email: Enter the email address that will be used as the sender
- From Name: Enter the name that will be displayed as the sender
3. Mail Templates
- Go to System > Settings > Mail Templates
- Click on the Edit button next to the template you want to modify
- Fill in the required fields:
- Subject: Enter the subject of the email
- Body: Enter the body of the email
- From Email: Enter the email address that will be used as the sender
- From Name: Enter the name that will be displayed as the sender
4. Mail Queue
- Go to System > Settings > Mail Queue
- Click on the Flush Queue button to clear the mail queue
- Click on the Send Queue button to send the emails in the queue
Note: Make sure to test your mail settings by sending a test email from the OpenCart admin panel to ensure that the settings are correct.
